What is the new price of Maruti cars after latest changes to import tax?

I was planning to buy a Maruti car next month. But like a shock, government increase the taxes. I was planning to buy a Maruti Alto and at that time the price was Rs. 1500 000. My wfe was pushing me to buy it last month and I said let’s wait until Sinhala new year. See what happened !
Now I am thinking to buy a Maruti 800 instead and hope that whatever money I have would be enough.
I would appreciate if somebody can post the prices of Maruti cars after the price hike due to changes in import tax.

It is really sad. This is the faith of many Sri Lankans. I live in Canada and we can buy a latest japan vehicle for these prices.

Maruti car price after tax increase

According to AMW maruti 800 price may go up by Rs. 500000. AMW is the importer and distributor of Maruti vehicles to Sri Lanka. So a Maruti 800 will have a new price of (With VAT) Rs. 17,85,000. Before the tax hike, Maruti 800 cost only Rs. 12, 80, 000.

Maruti Alto was Rs. 15,65,000 and with the new tax it will increase to Rs. 21,65,000.

Maruti Wagon R will be Rs. 33,00000 and it was 22,00000 before.

Maruti K10 new price will be 23,60,000 and its earlier price was 17,75,000

Estill price will reach 26,50,000 from the price now 20,70,000.

AMW has not yet released the new price for other brands.
