What is the best way to go from Sri Lanka to the Maldives?

What is the best way to go from Sri Lanka to the Maldives? Other than going by plane, are they any ferries between the two countries? What are the costs? How much time is the trip?

    As far as I know there are no ferry’s, Flying is your only option
    unless you find some rich dude with a yacht going that way, very possible,

      There was a luxury cruse sometime back, I cant remember the name but now it is not available as far as I know, only way to go from Sri Lanka to Maldives by flight or if you have tons of money you can charter a cruse to Maldives

        The only option is by flight, it takes about 1hr 10 minutes between the two destinations.

        Both Sri Lankan and Emirates fly the route, flight costs should be about US$200 including taxes, there are several flights a day.
