What happened to war crime case against Sri Lanka president ?

Samson 1285

A suit was filed against Sri Lanka president Mahinda Rajapaksha by relatives of Tamil Tigers and a humanitarian worker who was in the Sri lanka’s North and East during the war time. The main accusation was that innocent civilians were killed or harmed by armed forces during the war under the regime of president Mahinda Rajapaksha. If I remember correct this case was filed in a US district court under the the Torture Victim Protection Act passed by Congress in 1992. I am curious to know the current state of this case against Sri lanka president Mahinda Rajapaksha.

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.

No. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist. But she will refer patients to a psychiatrist if medication is needed.
