I am 22 year old female with OCD and need help

dilky_21 1725

I’m 22 years old, female. I have OCD for about 14 years. Now I feel like it is getting worse. I have consulted many doctors and I have tried many times to overcome this by myself but it is just getting worse day by day. I’m depressed and helpless. I have so many negative thoughts about life and I feel like it directly affects to my social life. Is there a cure for OCD? Can somebody recommend a good psychiatrist for me.

Foreigner sending belongings to Sri Lanka

knad 1066

My friend, a German, is going to live and study in Sri Lanka for 3 years. She wants to send her household items, garden tools, professional equipment etc.. in a container so she can start her life straight away in Sri Lanka. Doe somebody know the law pertaining to this? Is this taxable or free of Tax? What is the exact procedure one should follow? Thanks in advance

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.

No. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist. But she will refer patients to a psychiatrist if medication is needed.
