What languages are spoken in Sri Lanka?

David 1555

The two official languages (as per the Sri Lankan government) are Sinhalese and Tamil, I was wondering which (if either) is spoken the most, or if the most common form of speech is a dialect from another language entirely, or if the vernacular is different in different arias. In short, if I was to go to Sri Lanka, what language should I learn first?

If anyone is planning on abortion please don’t. I can look after all the expenses of the mother for 9 months( pregnant period) and will adopt the child. I am not infertile. I am married. But I believe that it doesn’t matter if I don’t give birth to the baby. But a child is a child. If s/he is believed to be mine, then s/he is mine. Will never let them know they are adopted. Will have a child on my own as well. But I can’t bear to see another baby live without parents through out their life in some orphanage. Call 0785638458 if interested.
