RABIES IN QUARANTINE. Why has a charity been allowed to import stray dogs from Sri Lanka when?
there are already so many dogs in UK needing homes? One of the Sri Lankan imports has bitten a kennel assistant whilst in quarantine. The dog had rabies and has presumably, hopefully, been destroyed.
The charity is called ‘Animal SOS Sri Lanka’. Have a look at the website.

I agree, the last thing we need is imported stray dogs with rabies! The dog bit three people and has now died (it didn’t need to be put down).

U.S.is doing the same thing. Right now it’s dogs from Puerto Rico…….we have enough homeless dog here looking for medical attention and homes. It’s heartbreaking……………I give monthly to the SPCA and now I am wondering if my money isn’t going to another country??

I dont get it either, surely there are peope in sri lanka that could adopt them. Whats wrong with people going to the rspca or battersea to adopt a dog? There are so many dogs in the UK that need home, importing these dogs is only adding to the problem. I believe the dog died naturally!

I think the woman running this “Charity” must need her head testing.
What good does it do to import stray dogs from Sri Lanka- does she think she is going to reduce or have ANY effect on the mutt population there!
If the Charity Nut doesn’t know better then the UK authorities should have acted.

The charity has not imported a single dog, so you are all barking up the wrong tree. The pups in question were all brought over by individuals, not the charity. Don’t believe everything you read, it’s dangerous.
