I mean they play Sri lanka every second series so why not have a 10 or 15 match series against them. Surely they can rack up enough points to keep their fake test ranking afloat with a series like these. They (BCCI) obviously care more about the misleading ranking than playing against real competitive teams
We at SchoolSriLanka are trying to analyze Sri Lanka’s potential in providing education to foreign students in areas like Art, Music, Dancing, Painting, Archeology etc Sri Lanka having Archeological sites and world heritage cities, would you consider Sri Lanka a place to study Archeology? Thank you very much for your feedback. It gives great encouragement for all of us in this project.
I’m 15 years old and I live in India. I have a multiple visa. I want to know if I can travel to Colombo alone by plane. At what age can I travel there alone without parental company? What about the taxes? I’m looking for about a week of stay. And at a friend’s house.
Hi I am Dhoni. It has been an exciting series so far for us against Sri Lanka. To be able to win 4 matches against them in a row on their home soil is great. But we are looking to make a clean sweep. Before every match, I sit with my team and plan extensively about how to play the game. We always have Plan A and plan B. But what do you fans think? What is the most important thing for us to win the next one as well?
The majority of people are not Dravidian. Tamils, now a minority, were the early invaders who brought Buddhism and a knowledge of irrigation techniques. Coconuts, rubber, and tea are the country’s successful plantation crops. Industrial development is constituted mostly by factories which process agricultural products. Tamil was recently granted national language status.
We want to see an ODI against India this summer as we’re going to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon but don’t know how to get hold of tickets. Ideally we want them in advance as we don’t want to travel to Columbo and be disappointed and also I’m a bit nervous about doing that, as although we’re trying, we’re not really getting on well with the language and all the signs are apparently in different text.
http://www.dailymirror.lk/DM_BLOG/Sections/frmNewsDetailView.aspx?ARTID=72114 The troika that attends at India is not representative of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka does not have to heed the call to let such diabolical schemers access her sovereign lands. These alleged representatives are representing their own personal interests and not the interests of Sri Lanka and by doing so have sullied the sitting government to an extent that may be irreparable to its “leader” and the current administration. The current luxury bus controversy just adds to the long list of malfeasance between this troika and certain elements in India. Wasn’t Sri Lanka already utilizing these scanners to check for suicide bombers prior to “world opinion” supporting diaspora’s quest to procedurally discontinue it? http://www.colombopage.com/archive_091/Dec1262159418CH.html One family rule has never been the style in Sri Lanka and there are great lack of predispositions to electing family rule that is non-sovereign. There are certainly many families that have more than one or two generations under their belts that do not have to dally with such foreign intrigues at the sake of Sri Lanka. http://www.srilankaguardian.org/2009/12/nepotism-is-our-way-slbc.html Sri Lanka can wait up to 11 more months prior to purchasing rail equipment and does not need to forward a 10 year development plan by an administration that may not be in administration. http://www.dailynews.lk/2009/12/30/news26.asp With a certain malfeasance attached to these types of endeavours by the current President’s family members from brothers to sons there just is not any need to do more than agree to an interim government election that includes the diminishing of powers held by the President and a set time limit not to exceed 2 years to set in place and implement anti-corruption legistlation to guarantee that the NEXT presidential election (in 2 years) will be a free and fair process. Presidents are never Kings- they are not even the highest level of administration of ANY country. Former national administrators aka “Presidents” also cannot hold a crown. Sri Lanka also has a well known and held policy of not ever letting familial hereditary rule of Kings go unchecked.
