Who came first to Sri Lanka, the Tamil or the Sinhalese?

Admin 1042

I was wondering whether anyone knows whether the Sinhalese were the first who lived in Sri Lanka or the Tamils. I know Signalise claim they’ve always lived there, but that is not the truth. According to my research Sinhalese came from Bengal whereas the Tamils came from Southern India. As to the epic story of Ramayana tamils lived in Sri Lanka many, many years before Sinhalese. What are your opinions?

Why did the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami hit Sri Lanka from the West coast?

Admin 1273

This fascinates me. I remember seeing on the news that Colombo, Sri Lanka (which lies on the West coast of the Island country) was hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, which originated from near Indonesia in the Indian Ocean. I can understand why the Eastern shore got totally devastated. I can understand why Somalia, thousands of miles and hours and hours away, was hit as well. But why the Western shore of Sri Lanka?

Do you think that no ball controversy work in favor of Sri Lanka?

Admin 692

Do you think that no ball controversy work in favor of Sri Lanka? With enormous pressure from India and Media,SLankans work together as a unit and determined to win the title, actually which they did. Clearly see it when Dili score that ton,he release his pleasure, and also Randiv when he took MSD and at the end of the presentation with holding the cup,he scream and released his pressure. however quite good win after a long time from SL,and thanks India once again for that amount of gifts:lol

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.

No. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist. But she will refer patients to a psychiatrist if medication is needed.
