    1. January – Janawaari
    2. February – Pebarawari
    3. March – Marthu
    4. April – Apriyel
    5. May – Mayi
    6. June – Juni
    7. July – Juuly
    8. August – Agosthu
    9. September – Sapthambar
    10. October – Octombar
    11. November – Nowambar
    12. December – Desambar

    Month – Maasaya

  2. I think you need to know the real sinhala word for each month of the year. I know few correctly and I am not sure about other months. Hope you will get a full answer soon.

    May – Wesak (The month where prince Siddartha was born and Lord Buddha got the enlightenment and the month Lord Buddha passed away)

  3. I found the sinhala name for the rest of the month through a facebook friend. Following are the rest.

    July – Esala
    August – Nikini
    October – Wap

  4. It is a shame that the modern day young people in Srilanka have forgotten the history of Srilanka and the value of Buddhist philosophy .

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.

No. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist. But she will refer patients to a psychiatrist if medication is needed.
