Contact information of Child psychiatrist in Sri Lanka

I am working in UAE and I have an 8 year old that lives with my mother back in Sri Lanka at the moment. Recently a few issues have occurred that has brought to our concern and am extremely worried. I am looking for a good child psychiatrist. If i could get contact details much preferred.

    Hi thanks for asking this question here in our Lanka Help Q and A web site. I can understand the difficult situation you are in.

    Professor (Ms) Hemamali perera is one of the best child psychiatrists. She is also a senior lecturer in Colombo Medical faculty.

    Dr. Hemamali Perera sees patients both in private sector and government sector. She must be available in colombo channeling services like Durdan hospital, Asiri hospital, nawaloka hospital, etc

    She also sees patient at Lady RIdgeway Hospital.

    Also, all other psychiatrist may be able to help as they have undergone basic training in child psychiatry. Psychiatrists are available in all major cities.

      Dr. Hemamali Perera is an excellent child psychiatrist. I once consulted her for my son’s change in behaviour. She was supportive and did spend lot of time with us. The only problem is that she may not be available in Sri Lanka most of the time due to her academic works at medical faculty.
