Are there any psychiatrists specialized in child psychology, who are available for consultation in or around Colombo? This will be very helpful!!

We have very good child psychiatrist in Sri Lanka. Dr. Hemamali Perera is a child psychiatrist in Sri Lanka who is also a senior lecturer in Colombo medical faculty. Dr. Hemamali conducts Pediatric psychiatry clinic at Lady Ridgeway Hospital, in Boralla.

The other psychiatrists also very competent to deal with pediatric psychiatric problems.
They have also got the necessary training to treat children with mental illness. If you find it hard to consult Dr. Hemamali you can go to any government general hospital in Sri Lanka.

Psychology and Psychiatry are two different areas. It is always better to consult a psychiatrist for evaluation.
