  1. Olivander says:

No problem as long as within the duty free limits. Something like 1-2 bottles per person indeed. The duty free staff knows the limits by heart and can advise you.

    According to rules,
“Alcoholic Liquor not exceeding two and a half litres, wine not exceeding two litres and perfumed spirits not exceeding quarter litre per person.”

Alcohol is usually available at duty free shops at airports but better enquire first

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.

No. She is a clinical psychologist, not a psychiatrist. But she will refer patients to a psychiatrist if medication is needed.
