Australian driving License in Sri Lanka?

I live in Australia and visiting Sri Lanka for brief time. I need to drive when I am in Sri Lanka but currently I do not have a Sri Lankan driving license. How long Can I  ues my Australian driving license in Srilanka?

    I am not sure whether you can use the same driving license in Sri Lanka. Following is some information I found in a travel advisory to Sri Lanka. “In order to avoid bureaucratic formalities in Sri Lanka, an International Driving Permit should be obtained before departure. If not, a temporary license to drive is obtainable on presentation of a valid national driving license. This must be endorsed at the AA office in Colombo”.
