I just got an e-mail from my friend with an image from a Australian news paper which says that Ajantha Mendis going to play for Australian cricket team. It is also said that Ajantha Mendis has an Australian girl friend.

According to the report Ajantha Mendis will first play to Australian Victoria cricket team. Ajantha Mendis will be playing as their international player for 12 months and then later on he will be recruited to national side. This is an attempt due to the lack of quality spinners in the Australian cricket team these days.

I wonder whether this news is true. Sri Lankans living in Australia must be knowing this better.

This news article was published in one of Australian local news paper called MX. MX is a free evening Australian news paper mainly targeted at commuters in public transports. It is mainly distributed in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

I also saw this news article and It was published on the day prior to the ICC Cricket world cup. I was so upset as by that time I was fantasizing world cup win for Sri Lanka.

But later I could remember that it was April 01st. I think this is a April fools joke and I think this joke is much more better than the Divaina News papers world cup venue change joke.

Just found out that this has been even broadcasted in SEN sports radio as an statement from the victoria cricket. it was also on the April first. After, we have not heard anything about this.

Hello Adil,

I understand your concern regarding your health. Rather than getting 2nd hand information on the internet, I think you should best speak to the nephrology/renal units at various Sri Lankan hospitals and obtain the information straight from the horse’s mouth. You could try the state run National Hospital of Sri Lanka (telephone: 94-11-2691111) – where locals are treated free of charge, I don’t know how it is for foreigners. Or else there are several private hospitals such as Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Nawaloka and Durdans. You could look up their phone numbers online and call them directly.
